We are beyond proud of Justyna Sniady, carrying the North Sails flag around the world. The Polish team rider became 2nd overall in the Women’s Wave discipline of the PWA World Tour. From training in Australia to Gran Canaria, the season culminated with a huge final at the World Cup Sylt in Germany.
“Sylt conditions are very challenging. You have to fight against not only your competition, but also strong current, cold weather and brutally dumpy shore-break. This combined with 40knots of wind this year made for some spectacular action delivered in the wave discipline by both men and women” – Justyna
The World Cup Sylt was the last event of the year counting towards the 2022 world title. After building a strong foundation in Pozo at the 2022 Gran Canaria PWA Windsurfing World Cup in July, Justyna needed a great performance in Germany to finish the season on a high note. The event drew in almost 200,000 people over 10 days, putting her under some immense pressure. With all eyes watching, Justyna managed to conquer the tricky conditions and put in her best result to date on the world stage.

“I felt really in tune with my gear this season and it paid off even in the super demanding conditions at Sylt. Beyond stoked to become the 2022 Wave Vice World Champion! Big thank you goes to the entire North Windsurfing family for their amazing support through all the ups and downs!”
- JUSTYNA
Justyna Sniady specializes in the Wave discipline of windsurfing, an arena where North Windsurfing has spent countless hours of R&D. Backed by cutting-edge 3Di technology, our Wave sail launched earlier this year on the market. A true first of its kind, the sail is both 30% lighter and 3x as strong as any other windsurf sail. This secret weapon has been in Justyna’s quiver all season long. We’re thrilled that all the hard work on and off the water has paid off, congratulations to Justyna and the R&D team.
